What kind of person does it take to be a pet sitter? A dedicated one! We have a real sense of commitment to be there weekends, holidays, or at any given moment in an emergency. That takes a special type of person. Ask us why we do it and our answer would be, "Because we love it!" We get a great deal of satisfaction from caring for your pets. Your pets rely on us to be there. Our commitment is rewarded by pets that are happy to see us time and time again. There's nothing like seeing that friendly face when you enter the door...their tail just a wagging or to hear a happy purr. It makes it all worthwhile!
Meet Kim
I started Wags to Whiskers Pet-Sitting Service in 2002 out of my love for animals. As far back as I can remember I have always loved animals. Having grown up with several dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, fish (both fresh water and salt water), birds, ferrets, billy goat, sheep and even a chicken - Ioved them all. I have always felt a great bond with animals and there was never a doubt in my mind that they would always be a major part of my life. Cats and I have always had a special bond. I have never met a cat that I didn’t like. They are amazing creatures. On the other hand, dogs are by far the most loving and can be such a special loyal friend.
During my high school years I worked as a Veterinarian Technician for several years. While working for the veterinary I was able to learn a lot during my time there, which even strengthened my love for animals. I also had the opportunity to volunteer at the

. I enjoyed my time with the Grey Hounds. As funny as it may sound, at times I was sad to see them get adopted. It doesn’t take long to get attached!!!! I thoroughly enjoy working with animals. You always know you are appreciated when you hear a little purrrrr or see a tail wagging back and fourth. It’s such a good feeling. I feel like I could never have too many pets but my husband feels differently. That’s why this job is purrfect for me. Your pets get to be my extended family.
